Last week at the CCM!

HOLA FAMILIA!!

Hope you have all had a wonderful week! Mine has most definetly been full of adventures as well as many goodbyes.

First off, i forgot to explain a picture i sent home last week. Last Friday I switched companions for the day (just during classes) and then taught a lesson with her. This was to give us expierence and change things up a little. I was paired with Hermana Muir. We already knew eachother very well, becuase I flew out here with her, we are in the same branch, and we run together every night. It was a very fun expierence and good practice!

That being said, this week apparently we had multiple earthquakes. I have yet to feel one however, depending on where you are on campus, you can feel them. We always have to evacuate the buildings and go stand inside the green circles and wait in case there are any after shocks.

Last Wednesday I woke up in the middle of the night sick. I immediately thought, "oh no, today is going to be a long day" However, a few minutes later, my companion got up and she was sick too. We went back to bed, and in the morning as we were talking to the other girls in the house.... 8 of the 10 girls had the same expirence that night. We were ALL sick! haha. The sickness only lasted a few more hours and then most of us were fine. However, a few were sick all day, went to the doctors and we found out they had gotten and had a PARASITE. They are now on medication and are doing better. Multiple other people were sick that day as well and had to miss class. We found out it was becuase of Lunch the day before. haha oh it was sooo funny that we were all sick!

My teacher had to go home early so he could go with a missionary that was going home so my district had to say bye to him Thursday. That was sad, but our subs have been fine!

I leave tomorrow morning at 3 am for the Airport to come back to AMERICA! I am extreamlly excited to start serving in Arkansas. This is the best thing i could be doing with my life right now and I thank you all for your support! Ive already learned so much and cant wait to continue learning more and more!

hope you all have a wonderful week!

New update!

Hola Family,

Glad to hear everything is going well!

This past week we were able to watch the first ever devotional broadcast. It was broadcasted from the Marriot Center to all the other MTCs in the world. Elder Scott spoke and it was amazing!

This week my district was challenged to teach 2 5 minute lessons to workers here at the CCM. Me and my companion did it and it was super cool to beable to actually pull a conversation with them and then share a short message! I love this gospel!

I spoke in church on Sunday. My topic was Applying the Scriptures to ourselves so it wasnt hard!

Highlight of the week: I played basketball against a TON of elders (my whole district plus random Elders) one night for gym time and I ended up winning 2 games of lightning. They were all pretty impressed! However, they didnt want to play basketball the next night... i dont know why? ;) So we ended up playing soccer instead.

I was able to go to the temple again today, which was so awesome! The temple is about 8 miles away from the temple but it took 1:30 to get there and 50 minutes to get back, because of traffic. There are soo many people living in this city and it was so cool to take a drive through town. We are SO BLESSED to live in AMERICA!

Well, thats it for the week, I cant believe this time next week I will be on a plane headed fro ARKANSAS! Love you all! Also, welcome home ELDER WARNER!!

Much love, Hermana Warner

PS. GOOD LUCK to my teamates MARCUS DICKSON and RACHEL STEWART who fly to Columiba today to compete on the USA team at WORLDS!!

PPS. GOOD LUCK to all my other amazing teamates who start XC camp this week! LOVE you all!

This is me and my district and the temple today! I love my district soooo much! Gotta love all their green ties too!

Me and Kate Mills! She is from the 3rd ward in our stake! So great to see her here!

This is Hermana Muir. She is from Salt Lake and went to BYU for a year as well. We were companions on Friday! (she is also the one that runs with me pretty much every night! Our companions will then walk together around the track)

Hola FAMILY!

Its been another fantastic week here in the MTC.
This past week we had a huge rain storm and in most places the rain came up to my ankles. It was crazy.

This past week we were told that there are going to be a lot of missionaries comingtonight. Apparently the Argentina MTC is full and so 23 of those missionaries are now coming to this one and the Peru MTC is also full so about 20 are coming here instead of that one as well. So about 200 new missionaries should be coming in tonight and early tomorrow! Once those new missionaries come in we will be up to about 800 missionaries. Its crazy that when i got here there was only 300. This will now be the 2nd biggest MTC in the world after provo  (who has about 3,000 missionaries)

A lot of missionaries have been getting stuff stolen out of thier bags and closets in their homes. Sad right! The girl i run with got $200 dollars stollen, a sister from my jr. high that is here with me got $200 dollars stollen as well, and then 2 elders in my district, one got $100 stolen out of his backpack and then the other elder got his North Face coat stollen out of his closet. (he needs that too, he is going to Pocotello Idaho.) I never locked my closet before all of this happened this week, but now we were told we need to lock our homes and closets whenever we are not there.

We still have 2 investigators we are teaching plus we got 2 more yesterday. The 2 new investigators are other elders here and so we teach them and then they teach us. So me and my companion had to make up an investigator situation and now get taught. It is really cool!

I learned a new verse to Book of Mormon stories this week, although i recommend not singing it in Primary. It goes like this:

Book of Mormon battles that my teacher told to me
are about the violence in Ancient History
Chopping peoples heads off and returning arms to kings
Take their land, burn their homes, and their things.

I was able to finish the Book of Mormon this week! i started the Thurday after i got here so it took me 3 weeks and 3 days. I loved reading it so much!!!

Everything else is same old, same old. The food is still really good, my roomates are awesome, my companion is great, spanish is still improving each day, and the weather is beautiful!

Hope you all have a great week,

love you all,

Hermana Warner

What's up?

I dont really have much to say this week. Life is good here. Im still healthy! One of my roomates got sick again sometime last week and had to stay in bed all day. Luckly none of us caught the bug she had.

Other random facts:
-i sang (well moved my mouth) in the womens choir for our devotional last week. My companion wanted to be in it and so i obviously had to go with her to the practices.
-This past Sunday was fast sunday and we fasted after lunch on Saturday till lunch on Sunday. Kinda weird right? it was fine though!
-Lots of boys in my district are homesick. Poor Elders. I cant really do much for them becuase im most definetly not in their situation. I still love you all though dont worry.

Thats about it for this week, ill try to think of something more exciting for next week.

Hope you are all doing well!
