This week was probably one of the longest weeks on my mission. Nothing bad happened but nothing new really happened. On Monday we were told that the Spanish speaking Elders were leaving the area and it would be closing. They came and said bye to us on Tuesday, gave us all of their investigators, and left. Wednesday morning we got a text from one of them saying he was coming back! They shut down the area for about 1 day and re-opened it! I'm so happy they are back up here.
New years eve we were able to go to an investigators home and they taught us how to make papusas! Then we went to a members home for a while for a party. I used the excuse of "I'm a missionary," I need to go to bed, to leave early.
Saturday we had a 3 kings party for the spanish branch. We had rosca (bread). There were hidden babies in the bread and whoever got them has to make Tamales on the 1st of Febuary for the 2nd part of the party. I got one, as well as 2 other missionaries. However I'm ok with it because now the members are going to teach me how to make Tamales!
That's about it, hope you all have a great 2014!
